Travelogue of Hilda to Taunggyi

Taunggyi is one of the wonderful city in Myanmar. It also one of the famous places with the beautiful sceneries of cultures and Mountain sight seeing.

Myanmar (Burma) and situated on the Thazi-Kyaingtong road at the elevation of 4712 feet, just north of Shwenyaung and Inle Lake. Taunggyi is the fifth larges city of Myanmar, and has an estimated population of 380,665 as of 2014. The city is famous for hot air balloon festival held annually on the full moon day of Tazaungmon.

Culture

The Taunggyi celebration of the Tazaungdaing Festival, a national holiday making the end of the rainy season, has achieved international well-known.

Balloons with large fireworks are sent into the air- but if they do not rise quickly enough, the balloon can explode. It is also a dangerous festival and have a lot of fun with the crowd of people and dancing. It is nice to see the hot air balloon with the one who we love. Most of the tourists are interested to the Taunggyi balloon festival. 

Tourism

Taunggyi is a popular tourist destination. The city has an interesting five-day market.


Farmers around the Taunggyi come to the town on market day and sell fresh products vegetables meats ect with cheap prices. 
So that many of tourist can buy the a lot of souvenirs. Near by, Inle Lake is the home of the unie Intha culture. If we visit Taunggyi, Inle lake is one of the place that we have to visit essentially because Inle lake is one of the interesting place to visit that provide Taunggyi to be famous.

One of the interesting thing in Inle Lake is all the houses are situated in the water and the vegetables are plants in the water and the people travel by boats. 

Agriculture

Economy of Taunggyi is farming and gardening. Farmers around the Taunggyi are mostly Shan and Pa-O ethnic origins. The main agricultural products of Taunggyi are potatoes, tea leaf, tomato, beans,  and seasonal fruits.
